This is a Custom set of USD Carbon Free Powerblading Skates, since this skate comes setup stock with a Powerblading setup, we took the Carbon Free Black/White Boots slapped on an Aggressive frame setup, and boom, you just turned the Powerblading setup into an Aggressive setup. The Carbon Free is an exact copy of USD’s normal Carbon skate, expect the inner shell, instead of being made out of carbon, is made out of plastic and fiberglass. Since the inner plastic shell has alot more give to it than a carbon shell, I’ve found that Carbon Free’s have less pressure points. We swapped out a few things and upgraded a few other to really make this a professional level aggressive skate. Check out the extra photos and info below:
The Frames: Youth Airliner Chris Farmer Pro Frames
These are the Youth Airliner Frames, pioneered by blading legend Jon Julio, These frames are a revamped and improved version of the standard Valo Frame. These frames are made out of a super hard, durable material. They feature a one piece design with integrated frame spacers. These frames also have slightly recessed frame walls, and what that does is when your grinding a ledge the recessed walls will reduce the surface friction on your frame making you slide alot faster. These frames come with built in 8mm axles, and beveled edges on the frames, making cess slides a breeze.
The Wheels: Shredweiser Steve 2.0 59mm 89a Wheels
These wheels are a 59mm wheel, the biggest size wheels you can put in these frames. Putting the biggest wheel possible in your frame ensures that you get the most life out of a set of wheels. These come in a 89a hardness, an awesome combination of grip and durability. The Bearings: King Crow Abec 9 Bearings
For this Custom setup i went with a mid to lower end bearing. I prefer the cheaper bearings, one, because they’re cheap to replace, and two, these specific King Crow bearings have dual rubberized metal shields. Which help keep lubrication in, while also helping keep dirt and gunk out. Abec 9 bearings are near the top of the Abec rating so you know your getting a precision bearing.
Other Parts:
We also took off the stock white cuffs and replaced them with black. Keep in mind we can swap out any part to a differnt color for no additional charge. To do this you gotta call us up and place your Custom skate order over the phone. 1-800-772-2502
USD Carbon White Velcro Straps
The above USD 45 degree strap when tightened helps keep your heel locked into place, preventing heel lift, and just making the skate alot more responsive in general. Same story with this part we can swap it out for no additional charge.
These soul plates offer a slimmed down profile with anatomical backslide area. If your wanting something a little more beefy check out the USD VII Soul Plates. Those and the USD Carbon Soul Plates souls are available in a wide variety of different colors. Keep in mind we can swap out the color of ANY part on this skate for no additional charge.
And lastly we threw on some black cuff screws to match the black cuffs.
